The transport fare watch report for October 2017 covers the following categories namely bus journey within the city per drop constant route ; bus journey intercity, state route, charge per person; air fare charge for specified routes single journey; journey by motorcycle (okada) per drop; and water way passenger transport.
Average fare paid by commuters for bus journey within the city decreased by 1.41% month-on-month and increased by 27.08% year-on-year to N128.54 in October 2017 from N130.38 in September 2017.
States with highest bus journey fare within city in October 2017 were Cross River (N246.43), Abuja FCT (N235.86) & Ekiti (N202.50) while States with lowest bus journey fare within city in October 2017 were Ogun (N64.55), Borno (N70.00) & Katsina (N68.50).
