Interviewer instructions
Check HM27 and HM28 in the List of Household Members and write the total number of individuals aged 9-23 months, 24 - 59 months, 5-44 years.
Check the number of individuals in each of the age categories of SL1:
if Zero then Go to the next age category.
if One then Go to SL9 and record the rank number as '1', enter the line number, individuals name and age.
if Two or more then Continue with SL2A.
List each of the individuals in each age category below in the order they appear in the List of Household Members. Do not include other household members outside of the age range. Record the line number, name, sex, and age for each individual in the age category. Note that this is repeated for all age categories that have two or more members in SL2 above..
Check the last digit of the household number (HH2) from the cover page. This is the number of the row you should go to in the table below. Check the total number of individuals in the specific age category you are interested in SL1 above. This is the number of the column you should go to in the table below. Find the box where the row and the column meet and circle the number that appears in the box. This is the rank number (SL3) of the selected individual.
Record the rank number (SL3), line number (SL4), name (SL5) and age (SL7) of the selected individual.
