This variable is 3 characters in length; the first two characters correspond to the two-letter country code that uniquely identifies the country. The code is based on an international standard code. The third character indicates the format of the recode file used for the survey. For all surveys in MEASURE DHS+ following this standard for the DHS-V round, this code will be 5. For example: DR5 is the Dominican Republic, MA5 is Morocco, and ID5 is Indonesia.
