Selected food price watch data for September 2018 reflected that the average price of 1 dozen of Agric eggs medium size decreased year-on-year by -3.00% and month-on-month by -0.3% to N472.73 in September 2018 from N474.13 in August 2018 while the average price of piece of Agric eggs medium size(price of one) decreased year-on-year by -9.9% and month-on-month by 1.5% to N41.17 in September 2018 from N41.79 in August 2018.
The average price of 1kg of tomato decreased year-on-year by -1.8% and increased month-on-month by 4.3% to N328.26 in September 2018 from N336.65 in August 2018.
The average price of 1kg of rice (imported high quality sold loose) decreased year-on-year by 6.7% and decreased month-on-month by 1.0% to N371.32 in September 2018 from N375.02 in August 2018.
Similarly, the average price of 1kg of yam tuber increased year-on-year by 8.0% and decreased month-onmonth by 4.3% to N280.28 in September 2018 from N292.97 in August 2018.
