The average retail price of Automotive Gas Oil (Diesel) paid by consumers increased by 24.17 percent on a year-on-year basis from a lower cost of N223.74 per litre recorded in the corresponding month of last year to a higher cost of N277.83 per litre in November 2021.

 

On a month-on-month basis, an increase of 9.35 percent was recorded from N254.07 in the preceding month of October to an average of N277.83 in November 2021. Looking at the variations in the state prices, the top three States with the highest average price of the product in November were Edo, Imo and Osun with N329.00, N324.47 and N318.31 respectively. Again, the top three lowest prices were recorded in the northern region: Kebbi, Yobe and Katsina State with N214.17, N220.00 and N224.38 respectively.

 

The Zonal representation of prices shows the highest price in the South-East at N296.28, followed by the South-South and South-West put at N287.91 and N287.89 respectively. Interestingly, North-West had the lowest price of N248.38 compared to other Zones
