Selected food price watch data for January 2020 reflected that the average price of 1 dozen of Agric eggs medium size decreased year-on-year by -3.34% and month-on month by -0.79% to N454.17 in January 2020 from N457.80 in December 2019 while the average price of piece of Agric eggs medium size (price of one) decreased year-on-year by -4.77% and month-on-month by -1.34% to N40.17 in January 2020 from N40.72 in December 2019.

 

The average price of 1kg of tomato decreased year-on-year by -10.65% and month-on-month by -10.11% to N237.22 in January 2020 from N263.90 in December 2019.

 

The average price of 1kg of rice (imported high quality sold loose) increased year-on-year by 23.82% and decreased month-on-month by -1.45% to N453.24 in January 2020 from N459.90 in December 2019.

 

Similarly, the average price of 1kg of yam tuber decreased year-on-year by –8.60% and month on month by -6.66% to N193.04 in January 2020 from N206.82 in December 2019.
