Selected food price watch data for September 2019 reflected that the average price of 1 dozen of Agric eggs medium size decreased year-on-year by -3.37% and month-on month by -1.10% to N456.81 in September 2019 from N461.89 in August 2019 while the average price of piece of Agric eggs medium size (price of one) increased year-on-year by 0.32% and month-on-month by 1.80% to N41.30 in September 2019 from N40.57 in August 2019.
The average price of 1kg of tomato decreased year-on-year by -30.69% and increased month-on-month by 1.63% to N227.50 in September 2019 from N223.86 in August 2019.
The average price of 1kg of rice (imported high quality sold loose) decreased year-on-year by -0.05% and increased month-on-month by 4.07% to N371.13 in September 2019 from N356.61 in August 2019.
Similarly, the average price of 1kg of yam tuber decreased year-on-year by -32.13% and increased month-on month by 0.10% to N190.23 in September 2019 from N190.04 in August 2019.
